Course Updates from Eagle Brook

As we adapt to a new way of life, our maintenance team has been performing numerous cultural practices to the turf. Aerification on tees, greens and fairways will be completed by the weekend allowing time for all scarring to heal. De-thatching of tees, as shown in the photo above, is a great site for a turf department, as we are able to thin the turf allowing moisture to reach our root zone. The amount of thatch that occurs in a very short time is truly amazing.

Wrapping up the final weeks of April, we will move our focus to detail work on traps, drains and applying the broad leaf applications on the rough.

Stay safe and healthy during this time,

EBCC Turf Team
