With favorable golf conditions in our forecast for what looks like the next 2 weeks, our maintenance team will be very busy prepping the course for summer play. Today, the team performed a verti-cut mowing pattern followed by light topdressing. This maintenance practice will help remove the excessive leaf growth while promoting open grooves in the turf's canopy which will allow for a light layer of sand.
This is the first of many diverse and innovative ways in which we will improve the overall course conditions for this upcoming season. Our team will provide updates as these practices are performed and implemented. We look forward to finally seeing the sun after what felt like an endless winter.
